the living is easy

Summertime at LaChat Town Farm in Weston, CT, about as sunny and hot and beautiful as summer can get!  Grateful for the shade of a tree and for music in our lives!  We'll be back in September...  xx Sue

Music On World Off

We all could use a little more music in our lives, it's completely restorative for us, and hopefully for our listeners, too!  We just had some new pics shot during a recent rehearsal... it wasn't hard to keep smiling because we love singing and playing.  Sue and Nancy are vibing on something here.  We also just completed another recording of a song called Blue Eyed Stare, lyrics by Sue Broudy, lead by Scott Weber and harmony by Nancy Burger, along with the bass of Dan Berg and percussion of James Allen.  We invited a special guest - John Widgrin - to play a little slide pedal steel guitar on the song, it was sublime!

Music in the Meadow at LaChat Town Farm, Weston, CT #lachattownfarm

We raised a little money for their community-based projects and sang until the stars came out.  The bonfire was also just perfect...  We were happy to support such a beautiful spot in Weston, CT that is free and open to all to enjoy.  We had a great time.

One Easy Night under the full moon in the studio

Open Road was just in the studio laying down tracks for One Easy Night, lyrics by Sue Broudy and music by Scott Weber and the Open Road-ers.  We put James, the percussionist on his cajon box boxed in a box in the back room.  Scott was in his own iso room with his guitar and Nancy, Dan and I laid down the vocals/harmony in the padded voice booth in the back.  We think this song has a great groove... being mixed now...  L-R Dan, Sue, Nancy, James (with a halo), Scott
